Plumbing & Heating Engineer

Your new company

Hays are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to work across void and occupied social housing properties. The role includes reactive repairs, maintenance, and installation of heating systems, boilers, and general plumbing.

Your new role

  • Carry out plumbing and heating repairs, maintenance, and installations in both void and occupied social housing units
  • Diagnose faults and carry out reactive and planned works on boilers, radiators, pipework, and heating systems
  • Install and commission new heating systems and appliances in line with current regulations
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and relevant legislation
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, housing officers, and other traders to ensure smooth job delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any follow-up actions required
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and urgent repairs when required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant plumbing/heating qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, Gas Safe)
  • Experience in social housing environments
  • Full UK driving licence

What you'll get in return
