Hays are working with a new social housing client who are looking to bring on a new plumber to their maintenance team. We are seeking an experienced plumber to join a busy repairs & maintenance team. This is a hands-on role delivering high-quality plumbing services across a portfolio of tenanted and voided social housing properties.

Your new role

• Carry out reactive plumbing repairs including leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures.
• Undertake routine maintenance of domestic plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with hot and cold water systems.
• Support void property refurbishments with plumbing installations and checks.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and building regulations.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and housing officers.

What you'll need to succeed

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing.
• Proven experience in domestic plumbing, ideally within social housing, but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Your own van
• CSCS card (preferred).
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently.

What you'll get in return

• You will be paid weekly, at a rate of £27/28 per hour under an umbrella.
• This is a temporary ongoing role with no end date.
• You will be given a parking permit for the borough to go from place to place (petrol costs are not covered).
