Plumber – Multi‑Trade (Voids Team)
Location: Leicester
Contract: Temp to Perm

Pay: Up to £27.00ph
The Opportunity
Our housing association is looking for a Plumber – Multi‑Trade operative to join our dedicated Voids Team, ensuring empty properties are turned around quickly, safely, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys varied tasks, and thrives in a fast‑paced social housing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing repairs and maintenance across void properties (primary trade).
Completing multi‑trade tasks such as basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling, or minor repairs as required.
Ensuring all work meets compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Working independently to diagnose issues and complete works efficiently.
Maintaining accurate job records and communicating effectively with supervisors and tenants when needed.
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing.
Previous experience in social housing repairs or maintenance.
Own tools suitable for plumbing and basic multi‑trade work.
A full UK driving licence.
Ideally, access to your own van. If used for business travel, mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
Vehicle & Travel
If you choose to use your own van for work‑related travel, you will receive 45p per mile for all authorised business mileage. A company vehicle may be considered after the temp‑to‑perm transition depending on operational needs.
Contract Details
Temp to Perm – long‑term opportunity with stability.
Immediate start available.
Full‑time hours, Monday–Friday.
