The Opportunity

Our housing association is looking for a Plumber – Multi‑Trade operative to join our dedicated Voids Team, ensuring empty properties are turned around quickly, safely, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys varied tasks, and thrives in a fast‑paced social housing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plumbing repairs and maintenance across void properties (primary trade).

• Completing multi‑trade tasks such as basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling, or minor repairs as required.

• Ensuring all work meets compliance, safety, and quality standards.

• Working independently to diagnose issues and complete works efficiently.

Maintaining accurate job records and communicating effectively with supervisors and tenants when needed.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing.

• Previous experience in social housing repairs or maintenance.

• Own tools suitable for plumbing and basic multi‑trade work.

• A full UK driving licence.

• Ideally, access to your own van. If used for business travel, mileage is paid at 45p per mile.

Vehicle & Travel
If you choose to use your own van for work‑related travel, you will receive 45p per mile for all authorised business mileage. A company vehicle may be considered after the temp‑to‑perm transition depending on operational needs.

Contract Details

• Temp to Perm – long‑term opportunity with stability.

• Immediate start available.

• Full‑time hours, Monday–Friday.
