Plumber – Permanent Role – Public Sector

Job Advertisement: Plumber (Public Sector)

Salary: £30,500 – £32,500 per annum

Contract: Full-time (Permanent)

Location: Base will be Portadown Office with works across NI but predominantly in the Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon & Newry Mourne & Down Council areas.
No requirement to come to the office each morning as jobs will be issued via PDA.


About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber to join our public sector maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high‑ quality construction and providing reliable, customer‑focused service. You will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving plumbing and heating systems across our estate.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 plumbing qualification
  • OFTEC Registration
  • Valid CSR Card or formal Health & Safety training, or willingness to obtain this within the first 2 months of employment

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in the plumbing and heating industry

Special Conditions

  • Willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings
  • Full UK driving licence with access to suitable transport upon appointment
    • This criterion will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.
