About the Role

This Primary School is looking for enthusiastic playworkers to join a vibrant school in South London. This role forms part of a new wraparound care provision (breakfast club and after-school club), launching in September 2025. The ideal candidate will be a positive, proactive individual who enjoys working with children and thrives in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise children during play and mealtimes, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
•Support children in engaging, enriching activities that promote learning and independence
•Encourage positive behaviour and foster self-esteem
•Set up and pack away equipment and resources safely
•Manage transitions between club and classroom, ensuring safe collection and handover

What We’re Looking For

•Experience working with primary-aged children
•Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles
•Understanding of high-quality childcare and wraparound provision
•Ability to engage children in fun, developmental activities
•Empathy, communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure
•A collaborative mindset and high expectations of self and others
