Hays Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school in Blackpool to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join their PE department from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a PE teacher or ECT who is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork and confidence through sport and physical activity, and who enjoys delivering engaging, high-quality practical lessons.

Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning and delivering dynamic lessons that engage and motivate students of all abilities. You will support pupils to develop physical skills, resilience and confidence, and contribute positively to the wider PE department and school community, including extracurricular sport where appropriate.

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured PE lessons that promote participation and progression
  • Support learners of mixed abilities, including students requiring additional support
