Seeking an experienced OD Manager for large Public Sector client

Your new role

As the Organisational Development Manager, you will lead a team of OD practitioners to design and implement impactful development initiatives across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering interventions that support leadership development, team effectiveness, and cultural transformation. Using evidence-based approaches such as appreciative enquiry, systems thinking, and behavioural science, you’ll drive strategic projects aligned with the organisation’s people and culture priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the OD team and managing service delivery

  • Designing and evaluating OD programmes and interventions

  • Providing expert consultancy and facilitation across departments

  • Applying data analytics to inform decision-making and service improvement

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote engagement and inclusion

  • Championing equality, diversity, and staff wellbeing initiatives


What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification with at least 2 years’ experience in an OD role at a senior level, or 5 years’ experience with 2 years at a senior level

  • Proven people management skills and experience leading a team

  • Strong ability to design and deliver complex OD programmes independently

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Analytical capability to interpret data and drive improvement

  • Knowledge of leadership and OD frameworks within public sector or healthcare settings

  • Desirable: Accredited coaching qualification and experience providing coaching to individuals or teams
