HR Advisor - Stafford - Temporary Until September 2026 - £33,000 per annum

Your new company

You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking organisation that prides itself on delivering exceptional service, supporting its people, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. With a people‑centred approach and clear organisational values, this is an environment where you can genuinely make an impact while being part of a collaborative, supportive team.

Your new role

As a People Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, operational HR support across the organisation. Acting as a trusted partner to managers, you’ll provide guidance across the full spectrum of employee relations, people processes and best‑practice HR.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice on a wide range of ER matters: disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, investigations and appeals.
  • Managing casework end‑to‑end, ensuring accurate documentation and escalation where appropriate.
  • Supporting long‑term sickness cases, including OH referrals and wellbeing interventions.
  • Advising on organisational change activities such as consultation, redeployment, redundancy and settlement agreements.
  • Supporting recruitment activity, including job evaluation, shortlisting, interviews and recruitment best practice.
  • Collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams such as Payroll, L&D, Health & Safety and Communications.

This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days are the same — ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with managers, influencing culture and driving continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience providing operational HR support within a generalist role.
  • Strong background in managing or advising on ER casework.
  • Confident supporting recruitment and selection processes.
  • Ability to coach and guide managers, building capability and confidence.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, HR policies and best practice.
  • Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate data.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as required (driving licence and access to a vehicle).

Desirable experience includes working in a regulated or customer‑focused environment, supporting organisational change, and contributing to policy development or HR‑related training.

What you'll get in return

This role is a fixed term contract until September 2026, the salary is £33,000 and you will be required to work out of their offices in Staffordshire and Shropshire.
