We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to play a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Your new role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation.
- Act as the key liaison between internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal) and external payroll providers to ensure seamless delivery.
- Support onboarding of new countries/entities into the payroll framework, including system setup and process documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embracing automation and digital transformation to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Maintain secure and accurate payroll data, supporting internal controls and audit requirements.
- Provide responsive support for payroll queries and generate reports to inform compliance and strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to payroll-related projects such as system upgrades, policy harmonisation, and future-of-work initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing multi-country payrolls, including UK and European jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, tax regulations, and social security systems.
- Proven ability to manage external payroll providers and deliver compliant, high-quality service.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Experience with Workday HCM.
- Background in Insurance or Financial Services.
- Project experience in payroll system implementations or process improvements.
- Vendor management skills and a second European language.
