A prestigious and long-established global property consultancy headquartered in London is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their UK Payroll team. Your new role
As Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across a diverse workforce. You’ll be responsible for processing starters and leavers, managing payroll queries, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and supporting monthly reporting and reconciliation. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a wide range of payroll activities and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements.
As Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across a diverse workforce. You’ll be responsible for processing starters and leavers, managing payroll queries, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and supporting monthly reporting and reconciliation. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a wide range of payroll activities and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll data including starters, leavers, bonuses, commissions, pensions, and statutory payments
- Managing payroll queries with professionalism and clarity
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and auto-enrolment requirements
- Administering childcare schemes and producing related reports
- Supporting month-end processes including RTI submissions and budget reporting
- Collaborating with finance and HR teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
What you'll need to succeed
- CIPP qualification
- Previous UK Payroll Experience
- Experience with SAP and/or Workday (desirable)
- Knowledge of auto-enrolment processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and self-motivated approach
