Your new role
As Payroll Administrator, you will support the end-to-end processing of multiple payrolls across weekly, monthly and quarterly pay frequencies, ensuring all payments are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
Responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll payments, statutory deductions and third-party payments.
Supporting PAYE compliance activities, including RTI submissions and year-end processes.
Responding to payroll and pension payroll enquiries, providing a high level of customer service.
Working closely with HR, Finance and wider business teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
Assisting with payroll projects, system upgrades, process improvements and new payroll implementations.
Supporting payroll controls, reconciliations and compliance activities.
Investigating and resolving payroll queries and escalating technical issues when required.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
Strong working knowledge of current UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Experience handling complex payroll queries and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
