IT Project Manager (Payments Transformation) – 6 Months - £700pd inside IR35 via Umbrella - London Hybrid
Your new role
This is a pivotal role within a leading Investment Bank in London, within their IT department. You’ll lead the delivery of strategic IT investment projects, with a particular focus on migrating EMEA payment types to a new payment initiation platform. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end project management, from initiation through to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets. This includes stakeholder engagement across regions, vendor management, and reporting to senior leadership. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our payment systems and ensuring successful project outcomes in a dynamic, global environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- 10+ years of experience delivering complex IT projects/programmes.
- Strong vendor management capabilities, including contract negotiation and SLA oversight.
- Knowledge of payment systems and ISO standards (preferred).
- A relevant project management qualification (e.g., APM, PMP).
- Expertise in both waterfall and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Solid understanding of IT functions and financial market products.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior audiences.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
