Location: Single Form Entry Primary School, Runcorn
Working Pattern: Every Thursday & Friday + alternate Wednesdays
Contract: Two Terms

Are you ready to inspire young minds and make a real difference? We’re working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Runcorn that’s on the lookout for a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis!

You’ll be teaching every Thursday and Friday, with alternate Wednesdays, delivering creative and engaging lessons that spark curiosity and confidence in young learners. The school is a single-form entry, meaning you’ll have the chance to build strong relationships with your class and work closely with a supportive team. Whether you're an ECT ready to shine or an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, this role offers the perfect blend of structure, flexibility, and impact.

  • Teach a Year 2 class with full responsibility on your working days
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to support pupil progress
  • Participate in assessment and reporting duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Year 2

  • A creative and engaging teaching style

  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative team

  • Full right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different school environments

  • A genuine passion for education and helping students thrive

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
