Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a well-established high school in Preston to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a maternity cover position. This part-time role will begin after the October half-term and will involve working three days per week within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Your new role

The successful candidate will provide general classroom support across a range of subjects, working closely with teaching staff to help pupils achieve their full potential. In addition to mainstream classroom support, the role will include working with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), offering tailored assistance through one-to-one and small group interventions.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience working in an educational setting and a genuine passion for supporting young people. Confidence in working with pupils with SEND is highly desirable, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. A DBS on the update service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one through Hays.
