Part-time Bookkeeper – Belfast city Centre – immediate start

Your new company

You will be joining a well-established, locally owned construction business that has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability across Northern Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to support their finance operations on a part-time basis.


Your new role

As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Working closely with the management team, you will maintain financial systems and provide essential support to keep the business running smoothly.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately.
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with compliance requirements.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain employee records.
  • Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting.
  • Provide regular financial updates to management.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
Experience within the construction industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
