Your new role

The client is looking to attract an ambitious, forward-thinking Accountant to support the Finance Director in a demanding and busy role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, purpose-driven organisation. Core responsibilities include:
> Work with the international finance team to ensure all reporting deliverables are sent on time, reviewed, accurate and in the correct format for month-end, quarterly and year-end reporting packs.
> Prepare and post month-end close and ad-hoc journals for corporate entities and support month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of monthly management reports, and ensure balance sheet control account reconciliations comply with group internal control policies.
> Work with Group Financial Control to align, enhance and standardise financial reports and to develop and implement financial and commercial processes and systems that are consistent, robust, auditable and secure.
> Encourage and Share Best Practice processes across the region to ensure efficiency and effectiveness during the month-end closing.
> Support the regional team with finance projects that improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance reporting, ensuring that the project is delivered on time with the expected quality and within the budget.

What you'll need to succeed

> Strong knowledge of general accounting and double entry knowledge
> Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in an effective manner
> Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in double‑entry accounting
> Experience of process / procedure improvements in current role
