Your new firm

Our client, a collaborative and nurturing international firm. This role is based in our clients Bristol office however you will be able to work remotely from home for part of the week if desired as the firm operates a hybrid working policy. The General Liability Insurance team, part of the firm’s Insurance Group, advises leading clients—primarily liability insurers—on employers’, public, and products liability matters. The role focuses on handling personal injury claims arising from these policies.


Your new role

A new opportunity has become available for a Paralegal to join the dynamic and expanding General Liability team based in Bristol, part of a leading insurance practice. The role offers a varied and stimulating workload, primarily involving the management of a caseload of employers’ and public liability (EL/PL) personal injury claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely work in line with client expectations and service level agreements. They will also contribute to team development through involvement in training, onboarding, and process improvement initiatives, as well as maintaining accurate management information and ensuring compliance with client protocols. Occasional travel to London may be required to attend client meetings or events.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a caseload of employers’ and public liability (EL/PL) claims, including personal injury and fast-track litigation. A solid understanding of legal procedures and litigation is essential, while insurance experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are key. The role requires good organisational and problem-solving abilities, sound judgment on when to seek guidance, and a commercial mindset with an understanding of financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a commitment to contributing to a supportive, inclusive team culture are also important.
