Painter & Decorator Needed- £18-20 per hour

With a growing portfolio of properties across London and the Southeast, the business is expanding its maintenance team and is now seeking a skilled Painter to join its London-based operations.
Your new role
This Painter role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the appearance of internal and external building surfaces. You’ll carry out a range of decorative and protective tasks, ensuring all work meets high standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Painting and decorating internal and external surfaces (walls, ceilings, doors, etc.)
  • Surface preparation: sanding, filling, priming
  • Applying protective coatings (e.g., anti-mould, fire-retardant paints)
  • Touch-ups and repairs to damaged or worn finishes
  • Ensuring work is done to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
What you'll need to succeed
Typical Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting
  • May also have completed a trade apprenticeship
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in painting and decorating within facilities or property maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Awareness of health & safety and compliance standards
