Overheads Clerk, Part-Time, Stoke-on-Trent

Your New Role
As an Overheads Clerk, you’ll be a vital part of the Finance team, ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of purchase ledger activities with a focus on overheads. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant (or the Assistant Financial Controller in their absence), you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial compliance, supporting audits, and fostering strong supplier relationships across all group entities.
You’ll be responsible for validating and processing invoices and credit notes, managing payments and reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records in
Sage Intacct. Your work will directly support the company’s financial reporting and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience in a similar finance or purchase ledger role
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • Proficiency in Sage, Excel, and other office software
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
  • Organised and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement

  • Hours per week: 20hrs (5 days of 4 hours or 4 days of 5 hours)
    Hours of work can be reasonably flexible with start / finish time (although not before 8am or after 5.30pm).
    Salary (£14k)
    Holidays: 22 days per annum pro rata (11)
    Pension: matched 4% contribution
