Mental Health Outreach Support Worker

You will be working for a national company that assists people in their mental health recovery worker journey. While showing exceptional support to their service users, they also prioritise their employee's wellbeing through a number of incentives. This company is very forward-thinking in their approach to the whole mental health sector.
As a mental health recovery worker, you will be based in their Norfolk-supported-living setting. You will cover the South Norfolk patch supporting clients in their own homes to progress through their recovery plan.

This is not a home care role, you are not required to undertake any personal care. Your job is to encourage independence for the people you support, with the hope that those you support can be returned to a better mental state of health and can eventually be discharged from the service. This is a varied role that covers all aspects of the mental health sector including depression, personality disorders and substance misuse. Your hours will largely be 9am to 5pm, but you will be required to work 2 sleeps a month on average and there may be some shift work required to cover the supported living facility. As this role requires travel to remote parts of Norfolk, it is essential that you have a valid driving licence and transport.

This is a temporary to permanent post with 20 weeks worked via Hays before transferring to our clients' employment.

While working through Hays you will have access to all the below:
  • Weekly pay
  • Free DBS
  • Local consultant
  • Hays hub app

When transferred to our client you will receive:
  • Leading Wellbeing Package
  • Ongoing training
  • Progression opportunities
