Organisational Development, Learning and Development, OD, L&D, National

Your new company
This Organisational Development (OD) role is for a large organisation who is a value‑driven, national employer working at the heart of communities across the UK. It is known for investing in its people, taking a thoughtful approach to change, and valuing evidence‑based, ethical practice. Organisational Development is seen here as a strategic lever, giving practitioners real influence and trust. The culture supports reflection, learning, and professional autonomy, with leaders who understand the value of well‑designed OD interventions.

Your new role
Organisational Development Specialist. OD Consultant. OD Business Partner. Learning and Development
This Organisational Development Specialist role is part of the Learning and Development and OD team and is a national position with regular UK‑wide travel. You will work across diverse services, partnering with leaders and teams to improve culture, leadership and organisational effectiveness.

  • Act as a trusted internal OD consultant, diagnosing complex organisational challenges
  • Design and deliver thoughtful, context‑specific OD interventions rather than off‑the‑shelf solutions.
  • Support leaders and teams through culture change, team effectiveness and leadership development
  • Facilitate reflective practice, learning spaces and system‑level insight
  • Work autonomously while collaborating with a small, expert OD team
This is a role for someone who loves variety, travel, and real‑world impact, with the chance to see how OD lands across different contexts nationally.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in an OD, organisational effectiveness or internal consultancy role
  • Confidence working at senior and leadership levels
  • Strong foundations in systems thinking, organisational dynamics and change
  • The ability to work comfortably in ambiguity and complexity
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel nationally on a regular basis (including occasional overnight stays)
  • A reflective, ethical approach to practice, with excellent facilitation and relationship‑building skills
Sector background is less important than your OD mindset and consultancy capability.

What you’ll get in return
In return, you’ll receive a genuinely attractive package, including:

  • National role with hybrid working and supported travel, can be based anywhere in the UK.
  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 with service (plus bank holidays)
  • Weekly paid wellbeing hour and access to a wellbeing hub
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Funded professional development, CPD and reflective supervision
  • Employee discounts and a comprehensive benefits package
Most importantly, you’ll gain the opportunity to practise Organisational Development properly — with trust, autonomy, and national impact.
