Your new role
As Operations Manager – Fleet Services, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a future-ready fleet strategy that supports operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and long-term value. You’ll oversee the full vehicle lifecycle—from acquisition through maintenance to disposal—ensuring high standards across engineering, safety, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading fleet renewal and capital investment planning, including annual CAPEX submissions.
  • Managing a diverse fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles across multiple regions.
  • Acting as Technical Authority for fleet maintenance and compliance.
  • Driving cost optimisation through budgeting, financial reporting, and lease vs. buy analysis.
  • Building strong relationships with maintenance providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Championing sustainability initiatives and long-term strategic planning.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation’s fleet operations remain agile, compliant, and aligned with evolving business needs.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
  • Technical competence and a safety-first mindset, ideally with knowledge of ADR and vehicle maintenance standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A strategic mindset with a track record of delivering long-term planning and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing budgets and influencing capital investment decisions.
