Exciting Office Manager role based in Oxford, to start immediately, full or part-time!

Your new company

A cutting-edge life sciences organisation based in Oxford, operating in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.

Your new role

This is a varied and hands-on role supporting finance, HR, and general operations. In finance, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing credit card reconciliations, conducting weekly bank reconciliations and creating bimonthly payment schedules. In HR, you will manage visa and sponsorship administration and work closely with line managers to capture and monitor training requirements. You will also handle general HR administration, liaise with recruiters to manage internal processes and respond to HR-related enquiries. The role also includes general support responsibilities such as document control and quality administration. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and respond to general telephone and email enquiries. Additionally, you will support health and safety coordination, including arranging meetings, minuting actions, recording incidents and ensuring risk assessments are scheduled and completed.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring experience of Office management, ideally within a small business where you were the 'go to' person for a range of administrative tasks. Confidence using accounting software such as Xero, along with Microsoft Office, is essential. You should be comfortable handling sensitive information and managing varied responsibilities across finance, HR, and office support. A proactive and flexible approach, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, will be key to success in this role.

What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll receive a competitive hourly rate and have the opportunity to move into the role on a permanent basis. You’ll be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team, with opportunities for professional development and exposure to a fast-paced, innovative environment.
