Office Assistant
Your new company
A growing technology startup based in London is seeking an Office Coordinator to join their team at their London office. This is a full-time, in-office role with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 09:30–19:00, and Fridays from 09:30–18:00 (flexible). The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and play a key role in creating a smooth and energising workplace experience.
Your new role
As Office Coordinator, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the company’s London headquarters, ensuring the space is organised, functional, and welcoming. You’ll manage kitchen supplies, greet visitors, handle post and courier logistics, and oversee office inventory. You’ll also coordinate travel, visas, and accommodation for remote team members and interview candidates, set up workstations for new starters, and help organise team social activities. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the company’s operations.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for creating a well-run, enjoyable office environment. Previous experience in office coordination or administrative support is ideal, along with confidence managing logistics, hospitality, and team engagement. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy being the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly.
What you'll get in return
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, you will be paid weekly through an efficient online timesheet process and will also receive expert advice from a Hays consultant providing support and guidance throughout the duration of your contract. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and gain hands on experience in a large and busy working environment. You will receive bespoke in-house training and will be closely guided to your success.
