Office Assistant
Location: Office-based | Enderby
6 week contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(35 hours per week) Salary: £15 per hour

Your new company

Our well-established client is seeking a proactive and highly organised Office Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support within a busy professional services environment. This is a predominantly office-based role, where you will play a key part in supporting staff, managing Partner diaries, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Exceptional client service and a collaborative approach are at the heart of this role.

Your new role

  • Continuously assess and improve office processes and report findings to the Office Manager
  • Deliver high-quality front-of-house service and maintain a professional office environment
  • Support daily facilities operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming workspace
  • Assist with the implementation of Health & Safety policies
  • First aid, incident reporting, fire drills and office inspections.
  • New team member inductions whilst providing feedback to the Office Manager
  • Coordinate visitor and contractor access
  • Conduct Right to Work checks and support onboarding processes
  • Provide basic IT troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed
  • Operate the office switchboard and manage incoming calls
  • Organise and support local office events in collaboration with the events team
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post and courier services
  • Provide diary management support to partners – scheduling meetings and managing logistics, coordinating virtual meeting requirements (e.g., MS Teams), solving scheduling conflicts and proactively managing calendars.

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative or office support role
  • Familiarity with health and safety compliance in the workplace
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A collaborative team player with a client-focused approach
  • Flexible and calm under pressure
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
