We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Consett. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early years professional to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on children's development and the wider team.
The Role:
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of nursery practitioners
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Manage occupancy, budgets, and overall nursery performance
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards across the setting
About You:
Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
- A confident, organised, and approachable leader
- Passionate about early years education and child development
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above – essential)
