Junior property solicitor role at international firm in Leeds. No business development, 9-5 hours. Circa £50K

I am instructed with a very unique opportunity for a Junior Real Estate Solicitor (NQ+) within the Leeds office of an international law firm. If you are a Real Estate Solicitor looking for the chance to gain experience in supervising/delegating work to paralegals/other junior members of a team as well as the opportunity to liaise directly with key senior stakeholders, this is most definitely the job for you!

This role sits within my client’s global business which is made up of many disciplines and will involve working in close collaboration with colleagues operating within my client’s London team (this role however is firmly based in Leeds with no expectation to travel to and from London). Because of the way that my client’s business operates there is no need for business development, so if you are a junior solicitor who is more focused on doing hands-on real estate work as opposed to engaging in business development opportunities, then you should seriously consider this position given the rarity of qualified roles which don’t require business development as part and parcel of the job.

In terms of the types of matters that you will be involved in, the work will be varied real estate tasks including licences to assign, sublet, and alter; SDLT/LTT returns; sales and purchases; land registry applications; landlord notices and due diligence (reports on title, certificates of title). You will be a key figure in supporting the wider Real Estate group with transactional and legal tasks and will play an active role in delegating tasks appropriately to more junior members of your team.

My client is willing to pay in the region of approximately £50,000 per annum for this role. Along with a generous additional benefits package, candidates can realistically expect to be working consistently reasonable working hours – so if you’re looking for a 9-5 role which pays well then this is certainly something you should look at.

This is an incredible opportunity for ambitious junior property lawyers to gain experience working intrinsically within the operations of an international law firm in a unique position that will really help you stand out from the crowd and give you an amazing level of experience which will be highly valued as your career within real estate law develops.
