Hays are looking for an experienced Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (Substance Misuse) to work in York.

You will be working with a leading health and care charity who work with individuals, families that are affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse and antisocial behaviour.
As directed by the Service’s Medical Lead, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services.
Working hours are full time 37.5hours per week Monday-Friday 9-5 or part time 15 hours 11 to 7pm on Thursday and 9 to 5 on the Friday. The contract is for 3 months but will be reviewed and potentially extended.

In your role you will:
Initiate prescribing of and/or make amendments to prescriptions of opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications.
Take a lead role in developing the prescribing clinic, acting as a point of contact for other workers and partner agencies around prescribing issues.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Current NMC registration
Previous experience in a similar role at a Drug Treatment service, Forensic, Prison or other similar background
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
