Your new role
As Night Concierge, you’ll be the first point of contact during waking night shifts, ensuring the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of residents. You’ll provide a warm welcome to new arrivals, offer empathetic support, and respond to emergencies or out-of-hours referrals. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Welcoming and settling newly referred residents arriving overnight.- Providing emotional and practical support to residents during night hours.
- Conducting regular building checks to ensure safety and security.
- Responding to emergencies and escalating issues appropriately.
- Managing out-of-hours referrals and liaising with relevant services.
- Answering phone calls and maintaining clear communication logs.
- Completing administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Performing domestic and cleaning duties to support the smooth running of the house.
- Ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed at all times.
- Lone working confidently and using initiative to manage the shift.
- Supporting residents with basic needs such as refreshments or comfort items.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
This Night Concierge position is based in Bath, offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.47 inclusive of holiday pay. The role is offered on a fixed-term contract running until December 2026, with a working pattern of 31.5 hours per week. Shifts follow a 4-on, 4-off rotation, with waking hours scheduled from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM on weekdays and 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM on weekends.
