We're looking to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer in St Helens to support our social housing client covering Maternity until the end of August 2026.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver housing, tenancy and estate management services across a designated patch of properties

• Conduct tenancy visits, inspections, audits, and handle tenancy changes, mutual exchanges and breaches of tenancy

• Manage abandonments, unauthorised occupation, tenancy fraud and failures to allow access

• Triage and manage low to medium level ASB, tenancy breaches and safeguarding cases, serving legal notices where required

• Support customers to sustain their tenancies by identifying those at risk, assessing needs, implement early interventions and signpost to external agencies where appropriate

• Carry out estate inspections, identify improvements and work with internal and external partners to maintain clean and safe neighbourhoods

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a housing and tenancy management role within social housing, with the ability to make an immediate impact carrying out the above duties

• Good knowledge of housing legislation and best practice relating to tenancy management

• Experience of managing ASB cases, triaging, investigating and gathering evidence

• Driving licence with access to own vehicle with valid business insurance
