Neighbourhood Officer (Social Housing) - Min 3 month with temp to perm opportunities
We're looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Officer in St Helens for a minimum of 3 months, where you will act as the key point of contact for customers, responsible for managing your own portfolio of properties and delivering high-quality, customer-focused housing and tenancy management services.
You will work closely with tenants, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure neighbourhoods remain safe, well-maintained and vibrant places to live.Key responsibilities:
Manage property and tenancy-related issues including rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and estate inspections
Carry out visits such as new tenancy signups, tenancy audits, exchange inspections and eviction support
Serve notices and take appropriate action regarding reports of ASB and other tenancy breaches
Promote safeguarding, equality and health & safety across all activities
Work collaboratively with stakeholders and external agencies to support tenancy sustainment and independent living
Represent the group at meetings, promoting positive tenant engagement and neighbourhood improvement initiatives
Monitor neighbourhood data to target resources effectively and reduce business risks
What you'll need to succeed:
Proven experience in a housing and tenancy management role within social housing, including dealing with anti-social behaviour cases
Strong understanding of tenancy law, housing policies and safeguarding
Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and multi-agency teams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
