Neighbourhood Officer - Manchester

We are now recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer to join an established housing provider in Manchester.

This is a full-time position with 37 hours a week, with hybrid work available. The role is on a temporary basis, covering leave for a minimum term of 3 months.

We are offering competitive hourly rates, ranging from £17.60 to £21.30 and the option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella.


Your new role

  • Minimise letting times and reduce rent losses through proactive tenancy management.

  • Conduct regular inspections of estates and blocks to ensure safety and cleanliness.

  • Take swift action to address environmental issues and maintain well-kept communal areas.

  • Carry out routine tenancy visits to assess support needs and verify property conditions.

  • Identify and resolve issues related to damp, mould, and condensation.

  • Investigate and address tenancy fraud, under-occupation, and breaches of tenancy conditions.

  • Ensure full compliance with tenancy agreements and housing policies.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a similar Neighbourhood/Housing role within Social Housing.

  • Experience in investigating and responding to cases of low to medium level ASB.

  • Experience managing complex cases and independently handling case loads.

  • A Basic DBS is essential for this role.

  • A Full Driving Licence and valid business insurance are required.
