Housing Officer (Neighbourhoods - Social Housing) Min 3 month temp - Liverpool

We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer in Liverpool on a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months, this is a hybrid role and will require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle with valid business insurance.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing and tenancy management services across your dedicated patch within the area, including managing your own caseloads of low/medium level ASB, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches.

Key responsibilities include:

  • All aspects of tenancy & estate management including carrying out viewings, undertaking tenancy audits & reviews, mutual exchange inspections and visiting new tenant properties

  • Dealing with abandonments, assignments, relationship breakdowns, failures to allow access and unauthorised occupation including subletting & tenancy fraud

  • Active triaging and management of own caseload of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches, including preparing legal documentation and serving notices where appropriate

  • Supporting tenants deemed at risk of tenancy failure, carrying out assessment of needs and implementing positive interventions or signposting to external services for additional support where appropriate.

  • Liaising with Income teams to maximise income for the group and minimise arrears

  • Providing a visible presence within the community, assisting with estate-based improvements and encouraging tenant feedback & involvement

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a housing and tenancy management role within a social housing environment, with a good knowledge of housing legislation and best practice

  • Experience of dealing with and managing cases of Anti-Social Behaviour and safeguarding

  • Knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits system and property pool

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
