Neighbourhood/Housing Officer Selkirk Temporary

Your new role

  • Manage a designated patch of properties, acting as the main point of contact for tenants
  • Support tenancy sustainment, including rent management and welfare advice
  • Respond to reports of anti-social behaviour and liaise with external agencies
  • Conduct estate inspections and ensure communal areas are well maintained
  • Promote tenant engagement and support community development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with housing legislation and internal policies

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in housing management or a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management
  • Commitment to delivering excellent service and making a positive impact
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

What you'll get in return

  • 3-month contract initially
