Murex Risk Business Analyst - Rabobank -

Your new role

As a Risk Business Analyst/Configurator, you will play a key role in configuring and supporting the Murex platform for risk and XVA functionalities. In this position, you will maintain and optimise Murex to meet risk management and treasury requirements, ensuring high performance and reliability.

You will provide second and third-line production support, including incident resolution, and implement regulatory changes such as FRTB to ensure compliance across all processes. Your responsibilities will also include gathering business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and translating these into functional specifications. Additionally, you will develop and execute test plans, manage user acceptance testing, and resolve defects.

Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors, providing training and clear communication.

Finally, you will identify opportunities for process improvement and stay up to date with advancements in Murex to drive continuous optimisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Murex platform, including configuration for risk and XVA (CVA, DVA, FVA, MVA). Proficiency in MxML workflows, data mapping, and scripting.
  • Risk Management Skills: Hands-on experience with Market, Credit, and Liquidity Risk modules, including VaR, PFE, and stress testing.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FRTB and other regulatory frameworks, with experience implementing compliance within Murex.
  • Integration & Performance: Ability to optimise system performance and integrate Murex with other platforms for seamless data flow.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and work across teams.
  • Education & Experience: Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field; certifications in Murex or risk management are advantageous.
