Your new company

You will be joining a forward‑thinking public‑sector organisation committed to maintaining safe, efficient, and well‑run buildings across a diverse property portfolio. The team prides itself on delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused services and ensuring best practice across all aspects of property maintenance.

Your new role

As a Mobile Response Technician, you will play a key role in providing total building cover across a range of sites. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, unlocking/locking duties, fire and intruder alarm checks, and safe contractor oversight.

You’ll take responsibility for accurate record‑keeping, safe equipment use, ordering materials, managing keys, and maintaining strong working relationships with staff, contractors, and members of the public. You will also support health and safety compliance across all properties and ensure safe working practices at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential skills and experience
  • A broad range of maintenance skills, ideally with one primary trade such as carpentry, plumbing or general building works
  • The ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance safely, calmly, and professionally
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices, including PPE, risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work
  • Confidence measuring, ordering materials, and completing clear, legible maintenance records.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive, customer‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • A full UK driving licence and confidence driving a fully loaded van. (This is essential and applications cannot be accepted without it.)

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive hourly rate

  • Flexible working, working week days

  • Opportunity to work for an excellent organisation within a friendly maintenance team
