Your New Role
Are you a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Plumber based in Swindon or the surrounding area, looking to make a real difference?
Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance services, supporting their mission to provide safe and well-maintained homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality plumbing works to professional standards
  • Carry out secondary trade tasks such as basic carpentry, plastering, and general repairs to support first-time fix KPIs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and contribute to operational performance targets
  • Accurately record and report work in line with company and legislative requirements
  • Carry out risk assessments and follow strict Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintain the condition and presentation of the company vehicle
  • Manage van stock effectively to ensure materials availability
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained, compliant, and defects are reported promptly

    • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately.
  • Key Outcomes
    • Full compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislation
    • Consistent delivery of high-quality service aligned with customer standards
    • Accurate and timely reporting of incidents, including near misses and RIDDOR events
    • Achievement of first-time fix KPIs and productivity targets
    • High levels of customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery
    • Effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners
    • Completion of work within budget and business requirements
    • Appropriate identification and escalation of safeguarding concerns
  • Location & Working Hours
    • This is a mobile role covering Swindon and surrounding areas.
    • Candidates must live within 20 miles of Swindon
    • Working hours:
      • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
    • On-call rota: 1 in 5
  • Salary: £36,838 per annum On-call allowance: £525 per week when on call

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) in Plumbing
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in plumbing
  • Experience in additional trades (e.g. carpentry, painting, plastering)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to complete repairs efficiently to achieve first-time fix targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks in line with Health & Safety guidance
  • Awareness of environmental risks and safe working practices
✅ Successful candidates will be subject to full referencing and a Basic DBS check.

  • Experience within the social housing sector
