Motor Claims Adjuster

Your new company

A highly regarded organisation within the London insurance sector is offering an exciting opportunity to become part of its dedicated claims team.

Recognised for their strong market presence and commitment to service quality, this company maintains a professional, collaborative working culture that values expertise and continuous improvement.

Your new role

As a Motor Claims Handler, you’ll take full responsibility for managing claims from notification through to settlement. Your role will involve setting up new files, gathering all supporting documentation, and working to achieve timely and commercially sound outcomes.

You’ll be expected to liaise with policyholders, brokers, engineers, solicitors, and other stakeholders, while ensuring clear communication and high standards of service at every stage. In addition, you’ll appoint appropriate specialists from an approved panel where required and ensure that all records are accurately maintained within the company’s e-filing systems.

Attendance at internal and external claims meetings will form a key part of this role, alongside offering support to other departments and maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policy.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you'll need a solid background in motor claims, ideally with at least five years of relevant experience. A strong grasp of the claims lifecycle and insurance principles will be key, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with policyholders, brokers, adjusters, and legal representatives.

You'll bring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to assess and process information effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving, accountability, and cross-team collaboration.

What you'll get in return

This is a great opportunity to join a respected team in a business that prides itself on its professionalism and client service.

In return, you’ll gain exposure to a diverse caseload, benefit from a supportive and knowledgeable work environment, and enjoy opportunities for development and growth. A competitive salary and benefits package is also on offer with a hybrid working pattern.
