Your new company

Your new company is a very well established and leading Motor Insurance company with over 50 years of experience in Insuring Motor Insurance policies. Now owned by a globally leading Lloyd’s Insurance broker, your new company is looking for a Motor (Personal Injury) Claims handler to join their high-performing claims team.

Your new role

In your new role you will be expected to manage Motor (Personal injury) Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement through the relevant portals, negotiating claims through to settlement and regularly communicating with brokers, solicitors and adjusters and updating relevant stakeholders on the status of relevant claims and instructing lawyers when necessary.

You will also be expected to support with internal external audit processes, liaise with underwriters on key claims issues and be the go-to person for support and queries for Motor Claims.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed you will need previous experience of handling Motor (Personal Injury) claims from cradle to grave, an understanding of legal liability and supporting case law and an understanding of legal regulatory issues relating to policy wordings.

You will need an understanding of the MoJ reforms, RTA and Credit Hire, previous experience of Personal injury evaluation tools.

You will need to be a great team player with an upbeat personality, adaptable and able to react positively to change, you will have a willingness to learn with good negotiation skills, and you will be a fantastic communicator in both written and verbal formats.
