Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer – East Region (Mobile Role)

Location: RAF Honington, RAF Wyton & Wattisham Flying Station

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to take on a mobile role supporting military infrastructure across the East Region. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with MOD Safe Systems of Work, particularly JSP375, while delivering expert technical support and driving operational excellence.
You’ll produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements, assess and coach Skilled Persons, and provide professional advice to site teams, supply chain partners, and end users. Your electrical expertise will be key in supporting project delivery, reducing corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to help the MoD meet its carbon reduction targets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering support across multiple sites
  • Ensure compliance with MOD Safe Systems of Work and JSP375
  • Produce high-quality electrical Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Assess and supervise Skilled Persons in electrical disciplines
  • Support project work and identify opportunities for carbon reduction
  • Advise senior management on estate safety and compliance issues
  • Liaise with stakeholders including site teams and supply chain partners
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer
  • Ideally hold Authorised Person (AP) tickets in electrical systems (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong experience with Safe Systems of Work and JSP375
  • Proven ability to supervise electrical operations and manage resources
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Full UK driving license
