Microsoft 365 Backup Architect - Contract - Hybrid

We’re seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Backup Architect to lead the design, strategy and governance of a large‑scale, Rubrik‑based M365 backup environment. This role will define the end‑to‑end backup architecture for key Microsoft 365 workloads, ensuring resilience, compliance and seamless integration across complex enterprise platforms.

  • Contract until end of the year
  • Hybrid in Sheffield
  • Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and own the backup architecture for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Develop high‑availability, recovery and continuity strategies.
  • Ensure all backup solutions meet strict security, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Conduct capacity planning for large user populations and multi‑petabyte environments.
  • Integrate Rubrik with enterprise infrastructure and identity platforms.
  • Provide architectural leadership, governance and technical direction across the project lifecycle.
