I am recruiting passionate, resilient and caring individuals to work as SEN Mentors, Behaviour Mentors, SEMH Mentors and Learning Support Mentors across a variety of specialist education settings throughout the Black Country.

About the Role
As an SEN Mentor, you will support pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural or learning support to access education successfully.

You will:
✔ Provide 1:1 mentoring and intervention support ✔ Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils ✔ Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies ✔ Help reduce barriers to learning and improve engagement ✔ Act as a positive role model throughout the school day ✔ Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs ✔ Work closely with teachers, SEND teams and pastoral staff ✔ Encourage independence, resilience and self-confidence
This is an ideal role for individuals considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, social work, counselling, youth work or SEN support.

Supporting pupils with:
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

  • Complex Medical Needs

SEMH Schools
Working with pupils who may experience:
