Medical Operations Manager, Patient Access - 6-month Contract - Pharmaceutical - 50% Uxbridge - Inside IR35

My client, a global pharmaceutical and biotech company with a goal of contributing to healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability. They are focused on improving people’s quality of life by preventing, alleviating, and curing diseases. They have a wide pharmaceutical portfolio, specialised in some of the following areas: Oncology, neurology, and rare diseases. There is an opportunity for a Medical Operations Manager, UK/IE, to join their Medical Affairs team on an initial 6-month contract.

Your new role

As a highly motivated individual and as the Medical Operations Manager, you will be instrumental within the Medical Affairs team, responsible for leading the execution of a large variety of tasks and projects, including but not limited to, process and operational enhancements, oversight of operational systems, change management and compassionate supply while working collaboratively within a matrix team.
You will be responsible for liaising and developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful communication and execution of these key activities on time, on budget, and compliantly.
- Managing the compassionate supply [including Individual Patient Supply Requests (IPSR)] process and medical operational delivery from end to end ensure timely supply to patients aligned to all local and global SOPs and regulations.
- Lead the Medical operation tasks for Early Patient Access Schemes (EAMS, PAA) as outlined in SOPs and Local Work Instructions.
- Ensuring the operational elements of the EAMS programs run smoothly internally and externally, including liaising with relevant medical field teams and RCO teams, and liaising externally to navigate any issues with EAMS sites, escalating for solutions where required
- Lead on the cross-functional efforts of reviewing and updating the compassionate supply and early access schemes SOP(s), Working Instruction, templates and training materials.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal and external governance requirements


What you'll need to succeed

- Hold a scientific degree
- Have similar experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry, led on operational roll-out of initiatives or experienced in managing patient access programmes.
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent information technology skills; good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerBI)
- Ability to interact with all levels and functions within and outside the organisation (e.g. Medical Advisors, senior management, worldwide team, healthcare professionals, etc.)
- Close attention to detail and ability to manage complex tasks and projects autonomously
- Knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice
