Your new role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and integration of mechanical components and systems. Working from detailed engineering drawings and build instructions, you’ll ensure all work is completed to exacting standards. You’ll play a key role in the production process, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical builds used in high-performance applications.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Mechanical fitting and assembly of components and sub-systems
  • Working to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Precision alignment, torqueing, and testing of mechanical systems
  • Supporting fault-finding and rectification
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting within a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and mechanical build processes
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to safety and quality
