Mechanical Estimator - Derbyshire : £45,000 to £60,000 + Car/Allowance

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading mechanical services provider that specialises in a diverse range of projects, including leisure centres, healthcare facilities, public sector buildings, and warehouses. The project values range from £5,000 to £2 million, and the company prides itself on delivering high-quality plumbing, heating, and HVAC solutions.
Your new role
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical services projects, including plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
- Maintain and update a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to clients and management.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and contract negotiations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or mechanical services industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.
- Design and build experience is essential.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
