Your new role
This Mechanical Engineer role sits within the facilities' management team and focusses on maintaining and optimising mechanical systems across client properties. You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- Servicing boilers, chillers, and pumps
- Managing plumbing and water systems
- Supporting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Conducting preventive and reactive maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards
What you'll need to succeed
Typical Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- NVQ, HNC/HND, or apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
- F-Gas, Gas Safe, or other relevant certifications depending on systems worked on
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within facilities management
- Strong understanding of building services and compliance requirements
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
