The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Shipston / Warwickshire area. This is a temporary position running until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent role starting in September for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience beneficial but not essential), fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour management policies
Requirements
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✅ Proven UK secondary teaching experience – essential
✅ Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
✅ Excellent classroom management skills
✅ Ability to engage and inspire learners of varying abilities
Desirable
⭐ Access to a car (due to location and ease of commute)
⭐ Experience teaching across a range of abilities and age groups
