Hays are partnering with a leading organisation within the sustainable manufacturing sector to recruit for a Materials Planner to join their Supply Chain team in Belfast. This business plays a key role in delivering innovative, environmentally responsible solutions that protect food, people, and the planet.
Your new role
You will ensure factory production is supported with the required raw materials to maximise efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Converting supply plans into material plans
- Scheduling supplier deliveries
- Managing call-off requests
- Reporting potential risks.
- Manage key supplier relationships
- Chair weekly supplier review meetings
- Track performance
- Provide scenario planning to support operational and commercial teams.
What you'll need to succeed
- Recent experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of supply chain processes (planning, demand, replenishment)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven analytical skills and ability to use data for decision-making
- Excellent communication and IT literacy
- Highly organised, resilient, and resourceful
- Experience in food packaging or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MRP and forecasting systems
- Business-related qualification
