A leading manufacturing organisation based in Chester is seeking a Material & Process Engineer to join their growing engineering team. Your new role
- Developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality
- Selecting and evaluating materials to meet product and performance requirements
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for process and material issues
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
- Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material compliance and performance
- Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors)
- Strong knowledge of materials science, processing techniques, and manufacturing systems
- Experience with process improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
