Materials Administrator, 12 month temporary, Dumbarton

The company's businesses include power and control cables, transmission and distribution conductors.

Your new role

To provide administrative support to the Materials Team, including information generation and analysis. Create and analyse reports. Expedite Purchase Orders with an external supply base, communicating outcomes and impacts. Update IT system with appropriate data regarding incoming supplies. Produce periodic reports from system data. Compile and distribute Manufacturing Order Shop Packets, including location, selection and provision of appropriate drawing revisions and manufacturing information. Assess Manufacturing Order status, providing reports and data as required. Generate information and reports from system data. Engage with internal customers to identify demands and priorities. Manage supplier order acknowledgements, monitor and expedite supply availability, assess and communicate availability status in support of production schedules.

What you'll need to succeed

Competent users of computers are essential, although training will be provided in specific ERP systems & other tools. Able to work quickly and accurately to achieve multiple competing objectives, seeking guidance when required. Demonstrates a commitment to Health and Safety. An ability to understand the concept of engineering drawings (not necessarily to fully interpret them) would be an advantage.

What you'll get in return

This is initially a 12 month temporary contract and the working hours are Monday and Wednesday 0745-1630, Tuesday and Thursday 0745-1600 and Friday 0745- 1245. The salary on offer is £27,000 with 35 days of annual leave and 5 of these are kept for the Xmas shutdown.
